Jacob was first introduced to the symbiotic relationship between architecture and community development at the age of 19, while working at an architecture firm in Cape Town, South Africa, that specialized in ecologically conscious construction and sustainable practices. Since then, he has further deepened his interest in community-driven architecture, and addressing social and building issues alike with a sustainable approach. This passion ultimately led to Seattle and Environmental Works.
A Metro Detroit native, Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University. He enjoys live music, design, radio & storytelling, cross-country hiking, and experiencing other cultures.
