Jim’s commitment to advancing ecologically sustainable society brought him to Environmental Works. That commitment entails working toward equitable shelter interwoven throughout the urban fabric for all people; and maintenance of a human scale in communities with community facilities within walking distance, open to all regardless of means. Jim considers it a privilege to collaborate with Environmental Works in bringing high-quality sustainable architectural design to nonprofits and agencies that provide shelter and community facilities to the underserved.
Jim has 29 years of comprehensive professional experience in all aspects of architectural practice in both public and private work, including Secondary and K-12 Education, Mixed Use High-Rise and Mid-Rise, Commercial Mixed-use Residential, Commercial Office, and Health Care Facilities.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and is a Washington State Licensed Architect and LEED-accredited professional.
