This new three story housing project for low income seniors is part of the award-winning Hope VI Salishan development in Tacoma. The building is sited at a prominent corner of the development along a new tree lined boulevard. The emphasis of the design is to make a safe and delightful place for seniors with a central supervised entry, office, reception area, computer room and social hall. Light filled hallways with intermittent informal sitting areas lead to the apartments. While the one-bedroom apartments are compact, they feel more expansive due to open floor plans and large sliding glass doors that lead to patios or decks.
