Roger Tucker and Rachel Minnery from Environmental Works will be speaking at the 2011 Seattle Green Festival on May 21st at 4:30 pm in the Green Building and Renewable Energy Pavilion (Qwest Field Event Center).  See below for information about the weekend long festival. 

On April 16th & 17th, Neighborhood House High Point Center was featured in the 2011 Green Home Tour presented by Northwest EcoBuilding Guild. The following video was posted online by the West Seattle Herald and showcases the Neighborhood House High Point Center project (it starts at 3:16 into the video). STRENGTH OF PLACE VILLAGE is a new affordable housing development located in the White Center neighborhood of Seattle.  Thirty dwelling units will provide homes for a diverse group of families.  The project is designed around a central courtyard that will provide a playground, garden space, bike parking and informal barbeque areas for the residents. 

After a bit of a false start, our EnvironmentalWORKS blog is up and running! We have had a busy year so far, and have had a lot to blog about – but no time to blog it. In order to share some of the great news and work we’ve been doing, we are going to try to spend some time over the next few weeks catching up this blog and bringing our friends and neighbors up to date.
