Jackson Heights
workforce Housing
This project site at the intersection of 23rd and Jackson in Seattle’s Central District features bicycle lanes, a very active pedestrian presence, easy transit access, and vehicular connections to surrounding neighborhoods. Jackson Heights supports all of those forms of access and use through providing transparency, encouraging pedestrian activity at street level, and offering car and bicycle parking that exceed code requirements and current facilities. Jackson Heights’ 74 affordable units are rent-capped, and half are reserved for residents with longstanding ties to the Central District. The building includes ground-floor retail to preserve the site’s historic use. Jackson Heights is adjacent to Patricia K., 52 units of permanent supportive housing also developed by Community House Mental Health Agency.
