Community Roots Housing purchased this 1970 apartment complex in 1994, and by the 2000s it was in dire need of major renovations to address leaking and lack of community space. The exterior improvements to the two buildings included a new rainscreen cladding system over new exterior insulation, weather protection, and replacement windows. Interior upgrades include a new community room and improvements to an office area, plus energy-efficiency updates such as low-flush toilets and high-efficiency windows. Construction was completed in 2017 with no resident displacement.
