A Community Sanctuary in the Heart of Capitol Hill

Same Love Garden at All Pilgrims Christian Church | SEATTLE, WA

The Same Love Garden celebrates state and federal legalization of gay marriage and Macklemore’s “Same Love” video, which was originally filmed in this space. The garden also serves as a gathering space for community meetings hosted at the church. The project features an outdoor room as an extension of the sanctuary walls, bioretention areas, a wedding circle, and full accessibility for all users. Donor pavers within the garden recognize active and departed community members, and are set in concentric circles around Seattle’s largest English yew tree.
