sUPPORTIVE hOUSING, rENOVATION

The Historic Frye Hotel has been a cornerstone of Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood since its construction in 1911. The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) purchased the building in 1997, and has been operating the space for low income and transitional tenants ever since. LIHI has teamed up with EW to renovate all studio & single bedroom units, and revitalize the structure with new & refurbished windows, tuckpointing, seismic improvements, new roofing, elevator improvements, life safety improvements and interior upgrades to the units including new kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, lighting and finishes.
