Conceptual Design for 18 New Entrances for the City of Richland

City of Richland Gateway Design Report | Richland, WA

Our team collaborated with the City of Richland Department of Planning and Development and WSDOT to develop a city-wide gateway plan. A thorough inventory of all existing and potential sites led to an overall framework of primary, secondary, and minor entries.  We developed a design standard that provides a sense of cohesion, while being responsive to a variety of urban, residential, arterial, park, and wild undeveloped settings. The document provided conceptual designs for 18 entrance locations around Richland. Our team ensured that the art and signage for these designs followed current WADOT standards while celebrating the natural and cultural character of this riverfront city and surrounding wine country.
