A Gathering Space for Families

John & Doris Tursi Park | Anacortes, WA

Located in a new Anacortes neighborhood, John & Doris Tursi Park honors longtime city residents and generous donors to the Anacortes Community Forest Lands and other city projects. It includes a cedar timber shelter constructed with salvaged logs from a nearby roadway clearing project. Its permeable concrete paths provide walkways and views of an enhanced wetland and native habitat area. This 1-acre park has a nice variety of amenities including a zip line, basketball court, picnic area, public art, open lawn, and a circular pathway that mimics a bike circuit used by neighborhood prior to the park’s development.
